    Two thin coats over all the skin. Let the first dry before the second: streaks even out.

    All over the skin, then wick off what pools on the raised areas with a damp brush, so it sits only in the recesses.

    Over everything but the recesses: forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, ears and knuckles. Leave the wash showing in the eye sockets, under the nose and lips, and in the creases.
