Leviathan Purple Carapace

Deep purple chitin for Hive Fleet Leviathan: a dark purple base, a shade into the gaps between plates, then streaked highlights pulled from each plate's edge toward its centre. Paint it after the pale skin, so the plates tidy up the edges.

    Block the carapace completely

    Hightlight the edges and feather then heavily. Also, using a glaze version, highlight any raised 'bumps' in the carapace.

    Highlight along the purple edges and add fethered parts but in less frequency.

    Do further highlighting on these areas. With a glaze, further hightlight the bumped areas.
